Lil Nas X Gets Candid About Fame Confesses That It Eats Away At Him

Lil Nas X really gained a lot of attention this year with the release of his Old Town Road song. However, as it turns out, the sudden rise to fame hasn’t been easy to deal with.

2019 was definitely the 20 year old’s best year yet but there are always pros and cons to everything which means that there is an ugly side to fame as well!

The rapper opened up about being in the spotlight, revealing that it’s affected him negatively quite a lot.

In a Twitter post, he wrote: ‘I usually deal with my sad times in private because I do not like for my fans or my family to feel sorry for me, this year had a lot of really high ups and extremely low downs. when you get to that hotel room and it’s only you, you do a lot of thinking. small things become BIG. I like to pretend hate and sh*t don’t get to me, but subconsciously it eats away at me.’

‘Feeling like you have the world and knowing that it can all go away at any time is scary. with all that being said I want anyone who cared enough to read this to just live in the moment. love u guys,’ he went on to write.

His honesty about what he’s been through comes after he previously took a break from social media for similar reasons.

Back in September, after a few very full months, Lil Nas X told his followers that ‘it’s been a wild last seven months and I’m ready to take a little time off. sorry everyone attending twitchcon or the sandbox music festival, I won’t be there. I love you all and will make it up to you some way.’

Regardless of his break, the young rapper still showed up at the red carpet event.

He was also in attendance at Variety’s 2019 Hitmakers brunch and looked great in an iconic orange ensemble.
